This is an MT DEQ recognized certification course. Construction activity that disturbs one acre or more or is part of a larger common plan of development, is required to apply for a MPDES MTR100000 General Stormwater Permit for Construction Activity and have a dedicated MT SWPPP Administrator on site to conduct inspections and a MT SWPPP Preparer to write the SWPPP.
Upon completion, attendees will have met the requirements of the MTR100000 permit for construction activity certification and will receive a certification card valid for 3 years.
BMP Discussion includes implementation and installation considerations, and often are communicated by industry professionals in the field.
Resources such as inspection forms, logs and references to permit requirements are all available within the course and the Community Resource Library.
Expectations for this Course:
This on-demand course is 7 hours long. Your 5 Consecutive Days to complete (including Holidays and Weekends) begins the moment a Learner is registered for this course. This course will NOT take the full 5 days, but this amount of time provides the Learner the ability to go at their own pace. In a traditional in-person version of this course, learning takes place during two 8-hour days, beginning in a classroom and ending on a field site. We eliminated those requirements and by taking the course on-demand, Learners have 3 additional days to complete it.
We do understand that sometimes you can't start a course right away, and that's okay! We suggest holding off registering for this course until you are ready to get started so that you have as much of the full 5 consecutive days as possible to complete it.
