BMP Discussion includes implementation and installation considerations, and often are communicated by industry professionals in the field. Resources such as inspection forms, logs and references to permit requirements are all available within the course and the Community Resource Library.
Expectations for this Course:
This on-demand course is 24 hours long. Your 10 Consecutive Days to complete (including Holidays and Weekends) begins the moment a Learner is registered for this course. This course will NOT take the full 10 days, but this amount of time provides the Learner the ability to go at their own pace. In a traditional in-person version of this course, learning takes place during three 8-hour days, beginning in a classroom and ending on a field site. We eliminated those requirements and by taking the course on-demand, Learners have 7 additional days to complete it.
We do understand that sometimes you can't start a course right away, and that's okay! We suggest holding off registering for this course until you are ready to get started so that you have as much of the full 10 consecutive days as possible to complete it.

Permit Language or Requirements
V.C. Discharger’s Responsibilities for Qualified SWPPP Developer Performance
V.C.1. The discharger shall retain a QSD from the beginning of the project through the Notice of Termination approval
V.C.2. A QSD is required to assess how construction activities will affect sediment transport, erosion, and other discharges of pollutants in stormwater runoff in the SWPPP design and implementation. The QSD is required to revise the SWPPP to address potential problems identified by visual inspections
V.C.4. The discharger shall ensure that a QSD performs the following on-site visual inspections
All QSDs shall have fundamental knowledge of erosion and sedimentation processes, best management practices, and their implementation to control pollutants in stormwater discharges
